Meatball Obsession

Remember when the cupcake craze broke out? Well, right now the good ol' fashion meatball has graced us with it's presence.  First it was The Meatball Shop and then, The Meatball Factory came into the picture this past March which caused some competition.  Now, owner of  Meatball Obsession, Daniel Mancini dares to enter into the scene with a meatball establishment that offers fast service with a walk up window.  Numerous press have seemed to respond favorably.

Choose your selection of meatball(s), then choose your style: whether in a cup or in a pocket and then, pick your topping.  The "Sunday Sauce" is served with the meatballs is deliciously tangy, sweet and satisfying.  While the mozzarella pearl topping was not memorable and lacked significant flavor, the side of bread offered a great tool to soak up the extra sauce.  Try the crispy pasta topping which adds a nice texture to the mix.  The best meatball of the three and most popular appears to be the beef meatball in a cup and the majority of costumers appear to get a double.   It is delightful to have a different option other than the typical Mexican, Chinese and Japanese take-out.

Gorilla Cheese

At first glance, the Gorilla Cheese sandwiches seem to be mediocre at best.  There appears to be nothing "special" about the grilled cheese sandwiches and they are served in a white paper bag.  Although there are an array of different options, the draw for the majority of costumers are the already established specialty sandwiches.  The most popular sandwich is the #5: Smoked Gouda with BBQ Pulled Pork & Onions on Wheat Bread (shown above).  It is commendable to see Gorilla Cheese try to elevate an American classic sandwich and yes, the sandwich is tasty -  but their is a but...the sandwiches are a little skimpy when it comes to adding the cheese. Word of advice, ask for extra cheese please~!
